Welcome to Snoqualmie Valley Funeral Chapel

Green Funeral Home was opened in 1936 in Kirkland, Washington by Chester M. and Agnes E.M. Green. Mr Green had served his apprenticeship and early years of funeral service in Ballard, Washington, at the Pheasant-Wiggen Funeral Home.
The first ten years were slow and in the first year, they performed 24 funerals. Mr. Green’s goal was to eventually reach 75 funerals a year. During the war years of 1940 to 1945 and then on until 1963, the firm also operated an ambulance service. After the war, Mr. Green opened or purchased funeral homes in Bothell, Enumclaw, Sunnyside and Grandview, Washington.

The Sunset Crematory was built on the present site in the Bellevue Funeral Home in 1964 and continues to be a part of that building.

In 1987, Michael Green purchased the small funeral home in North Bend, Washington, and it currently operates as Snoqualmie Valley Funeral Home. Other funeral homes owned by Michael Green were the Shaw and Son Funeral Home in Yakima and Grenlee Funeral Home in Pasco.
